Playing The Game

The primary objective of 3 Dice Football is to score a Touchdown. The outcome of each down is determined by rolling 3 dice (see Dice Table). The game begins on the offensive 20 yard line. There are only 3 downs in 3 Dice Football. A First Down is earned by reaching the 10 yard line. If a First Down is earned, the player has 3 downs to score a Touchdown. A Trips TD (see Dice Table) results in an instant Touchdown and end of game. A Penalty (see Dice Table) results in a loss of 1 Yard and a loss of current down. A Turnover (see Dice Table) results in end of game. If a First Down or Touchdown is not achieved in the appropriate number of downs (3), the game ends. If a Touchdown is scored, the three dice are rolled once more (“extra point roll”). If a Touchdown is scored, the same player rolls again, if not, the dice pass clockwise to the next player.
