Product Owner, York, UK

Role Overview / Purpose

TCSJOHNHUXLEY designs and manufactures a wide range of very high-quality hardware and software gaming products for use in land-based and online casinos worldwide. We are looking for a Product Owner who will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle, working closely with the Product Development team.

The Product Owner will build and maintain relationships with the regions to communicate the status of the product and upcoming changes.

The role will be primarily based in York, UK and will be responsible for multiple products across the range. It will entail project managing all current on-going developments, as well as getting feedback from the business to move the product forward to remain competitive. The Product Owner will maintain a good understanding of competitor products, monitoring and reporting on market trends and innovations. They will also need to liaise with compliance and testing houses to push the product forward and list jurisdictional approvals / areas where the product can be sold.

  • Responsible for managing the products assigned, including hardware and software
  • Support sales with product orientation / customer presentations
  • Working with the Senior Programme Manager to lead the planning and implementation of products / projects while supporting the definition of project tasks and resource requirements
  • Flag to the Senior Programme Manager risks, issues and blockers for escalation
  • Work closely with Product Innovations, Development and Testing teams
  • To be hands-on with development and testing of products
  • Deliver a hybrid delivery process
  • Illustrate data driven decisions
  • Drive senior stakeholders to understand what and when changes should be made
  • Work closely with Compliance to ensure that the product aligns to the regional jurisdiction
  • Derive product and marketing insights by completing a competitor analysis
  • Project management using MSP
  • Fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, integration and dependencies

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
  • Excellent customer skills, with the ability to interpret customer’s requirements and translate these into deliverables relevant to our product portfolio
  • Ability to work with stakeholders  across all levels and professionally communicate the recommended route with date driven evidence
  • Good IT skills – Including all standard Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferable to have experience with Jira and Confluence (from Atlassian suite of products)
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry is desirable
