Casino 36 Case Study
Located in Wolverhampton within the heart of England, the newly opened Casino 36 is one of only 16 casinos in the UK to hold the 2005 Gaming Act Licence. After years of planning the £7.6m refurbishment and expansion of the former Rubicon Casino officially opened in November 2016, providing visitors with a luxurious and exciting gaming environment.
Enticing players to ‘Escape to the Action’, the skillfully designed casino comes with a VIP Champagne Lounge, state of the art Sports Betting Lounge with Grill and a gaming area featuring 80 slot machines, 24 gaming tables and an exclusive VIP area.
The site of the newly developed Casino 36, which was formally known as the Rubicon Casino Temple Street, is now unrecognisable following the comprehensive refurbishment project which saw the casino expand into the adjoining unoccupied building.
The development did not stop at simply knocking through to the neighbouring building, the former unused cellar is now an intimate luxury Champagne Lounge and the roof area has been transformed into a stylish roof terrace which looks out over the Wolverhampton skyline. As well as creating a destination for entertainment and gaming, the newly refurbished casino has also helped to breathe new life into the area by creating around 100 local jobs, while also improving and rejuvenating the Wolverhampton city centre.
